Pulled Muscle?

Please keep in mind I am not a doctor, but a week is a long time to have pain in your upper arm. Now I am guessing your are referring to the spot where your bicep attaches to your shoulder. So you may have just strained that tendon, I have done that and it has been mildly sore for a few days, and if you keep re-injuring it in some way that may be why it continues to hurt, things like carry a heavy bag or backpack could do it. You should probably keep it as immobile as possible, try alternating ice and heat for about 15 minutes at a time over the next few days. If it doesn't get better, or if you have any bruising of swelling you may want to consider spending that 100 bucks as it could be indicative of having done some really damage to something, such as a muscle tear.
Good luck and hope you feel better!
