There is no need to worry, in skilled hands a blood test without any numbing agent is a doddle. Make sure you don't look and if you feel as if you may faint or be sick ask to lie down while they do it. Some people say that it hurts, other say it doesnt. To me it is just a quick pinch (pinch the inside of your elbow to see what it feels like.) Remember to take slow deep breathes and try to think happy thoughts.

You could apply ice, hopefully a big vein will still be visible despite the vasoconstriction caused.

Suck it up. Honestly, it isn't so bad that you need to get all worked up about it. You will most likely feel a pinch, and you might be a little sore at the site of the inject later on, but that's all.
If it bothers you that much, don't look while they do it. Have them turn on the television or look out the window or something to get your mind off it.
you know what, that cream is over rated. Getting your blood drawn really does not hurt. Ya the little pinch when the needle is going in, is just like a bud bit but that all. not other pain after that. There is no stinging like when you get shots for school because they are not injecting anything, just blood coming out. You will be fine.
