What is causing the knot feeling on my back on my left shoulder right below the left side of my neck?

Question:
I get this feeling at that location (it's like a sore feeling, like my muscles there have been tired out) when I drive in my car for a long time or sit in front of a computer for a long time.

Answers:
I think you answered your own question. Sitting for too long...
Muscle I'm sure, be aware of your posture. I tend to slouch at my computer and driving, both can irritate that!
Sounds like stress
Probably a nerve pressing on something. This does 't sound like something that will go away on its own.
I get the same thing over my left shoulder. I massage it with my right hand really hard. It hurts a good hurt to massage it. I believe it's stress. It happens when I'm stressed out about what I'm keyboarding. In the car, you may have to change the setting of your seat, or get a pillow or something. Are you really calm while driving? I still really believe it's stress-related. When you massage it with your right hand, raise your shoulder, and it almost goes away. (Keep your arm next to your body.) Mention it to your doctor next time. Good luck. :)
