Pain after hysterectomy?
Question:
Answers:
Endometriosis can and does return in some cases. Unfortunately, it happened to me. I had my hysterectomy with both ovaries removed over 6 years ago. I had surgery last February because the pain had returned and I had endometriosis in various locations. I had and now have again the sciatic pain you are talking about. It has always been related to my endo. Mine is on the left side. I have had tests to check for disc/neurological problems that have all come back normal. If your Dr. doesn't help you, find another one. I know what you are going through. It's awful. Physically and emotionally. I believe that my hormone replacement may be what is stimulating the growths, but I cannot live without it. I would be happy to answer any more questions you may have. Take care, and I hope you are feeling better soon.
Sounds like classic hyrnieated disc and the pain shooting down your leg is your sciatic nerve. You need a family physicain or neurologist. Ibufrofen and alternating heat and cold will help your back which will help your nerve. Be aware of proper body mechanics. I really don't believe this is at all related to the hysterectomy. Good luck.
Anytime you have surgery you are at a risk for adhesions.
Your symptoms do sound like sciatic nerve pain or herniated disc.
I really hate you do not have a compassionate GYN! I would get my medical records and go to another Doctor. The GYN cannot refuse your request for your records. Personally, I would call the office to get my records and not go back to this person since they think you are crazy.
I hope you find some answers for your pain and get to feeling well soon!
Find another Doctor. I hate it when I'm paying a doctor! The person makes me feel as if I'm Crazy! Yea I'm crazy too be seeing someone like that.
