Doesn't high heels cause knee injury?

Question:

Answers:
Most orthopedists (doctors who treat musculoskeletal conditions) consider high heels (anything over 2 inches!) biomechanically dangerous. High heels may cause:
1. Shortened calf muscles.
2. Shortened Achilles tendon.
3. Bunions and calluses.
4. Hammertoes.
5. Ankle, knee, and hip joint strain.
6. Lower back strain.
7. Damage and pain from compressed nerves.
8. And, of course, injuries from falls.
Not unless your running with them on and then trip and fall down.
well it's more likely that someone can fall wearing high heels. falling can cause knee injury.
yes it does it also weakens your ankle bones over a long period of time stick to flat shoes you cant go wrong in them
No, not necessarily. Knee injury can really only occur if heels are worn, while under intense activity for extended periods of time. Example, if you were to go dancing every night, I wouldn't suggest heels all of the time, b/c of the pressure on your joints in an uncouth manner. On the contrary, if your a secretary and you aren't on your feet too much, then the pain of heels is relatively redundant.then it would be the excess weight in your bottom half I'd worry about..lol..but that's another discussion :)
