Should I not take vitamins if they make me nauseous?

Question:
I want to be healthy, so I take a daily vitamin...However, usually when I take a multi-vitamin, I get really nauseous...Does this mean I shouldn't take them, or is this a common side-effect of vitamins?? Please, I need to know, because I have a rather sensitive stomach...Thank you.

Answers:
Sometimes vitamins make people nauseous, but don’t stop taking them, but instead--try a different brand! As a general rule, vitamin and mineral supplements are best taken during meals or 15 minutes before or after eating, in order to enhance their absorption. This is especially true of fat-soluble vitamins, which ideally should also be taken during the meal of the day with the highest fat content.

In addition, try to eat some crackers, and wash the vitamins down with some gingerale...That will help prevent, and deal with the nausea.
iron tends to make a stomach upset. try taking with a saltine cracker or two.
I had issues with that previously and discovered that if I ate prior to taking the vitamin no more nauseousness.
Don't take if making sick..
Have you tried eating when you take them?
Do not take vitamins on an empty stomach. Eat first.
When do you take the vitamin? Generally, people who experience nausea with their multivitamin can resolve the problem by taking it with a meal.

But also you could explore a different type of multivitamin. They are not all the same. For instance, I take an all green-sourced nutrition supplement. The nutrients all come for plants. I doubt you would have any stomach problems with them. I have personally used both Juice Plus and Nanogreens10. They are excellent products, but there are others out there too.
