Answers:
Obviously, you are suffering from the sleep disorder of insomnia. We need our sleep for building up new tissue cells and recharge our battery so to speak. Aside from just sleeping. It should be a good night's restful sleep of good quality.

Try the following steps to ensure a good night's sleep:

Establish regular bedtime routine.
Do not consume soda, coffee or alcohol as the caffeine in them would keep you awake; exacerbating your insomnia.
Read a book or watch the boring TV to go to sleep
You could try listening to soothing music. or lullabies.
Try meditation or yoga techniques for relaxation.
Avoid looking at the clock. This would create more anxiety in not being able to sleep.
Do sufficient exercises.
But avoid limiting stimulating activities just before bedtime.

Remember, that you need your sleep to be able to function well the next day.
Get on a routine. Are you napping during the day?
Don't nap during the day. Avoid coffee 4 hours before sleeping. Try not to think about something when trying to sleep. Eat supper and warm milk before going to bed. I had insomnia once. But warm milk helped me.
