Placing the Cotton under the Ingrown Toenail?

Question:
OK, I think I have a slight ingrown toenail; no redness or infection, but pain!! I can barely lift the corner up with a cuticle pusher, and boy does it hurt; crippling pain. How can I place the cotton underneath? It seems to be a really tight fit in there...

Answers:
Hi there. I'm sorry about that. I had a couple of those- one being really bad. Although it never worked for me according to my doctor you should try getting tweezers and get a small piece of cotton to shove it in there. Also, epson salt really helps with ingrown toenails! Soak your feet in a bucket or tub of warm water with some epson salt. It doesn't make it go away faster- but it definately helps with the pain. You can get epson salt basically at any store. Hope this helps!
My husband takes an orange stick and just shove the cotton under. It will hurt a bit, but you'll be glad you did it later!
