Answers:
sometimes low potassium or dehydration will cause muscle cramps. you should check with an md and they can run some tests. mine was a combination of both.
I have had that happen to me. I think it may be just growing pains.
A build up of lactic acid after a workout or dehydration. Trying drinking some water before you go to bed and see it that helps you get rid of the cramps. If not, trying stretching before you go to sleep. If nothing seems to help mention it to your doctor at your next appointment (no need to rush) and see if there's some underlying condition that could be causing it.

Hope this helps. :-)
Sounds like an electrolyte imbalance. A liittle more sodium or potassium? See you healthcare provider.
Hi,

Dehydration has some affect on muscles also low salt levels.

If it happens regular start drinking Bitter lemon drink.

It contains Quinine a good remedy for cramp prevention.

yeah that happens to me alot. i hate it. i learned last year in health that its when your muscle gets contracted, it tenses up and gets in a "knot". The best way to relieve it is to stretch your thight and calf when it happens. its from the muscle not being stretched or used all night. i sometimes get it in my arch in the foot too.
low sodium
I used to have this problem lying in bed at night after football games. Be sure to drink plenty of gatorade post workout to ensure you replace those electrolites, but don't forget to drink water too. Also replace potassium by eating a banana during or after work out. Good luck.
