DOES GETTING YOUR TOUNG PIERCED HURT! IM DYING 2 GET IT DONE BUT I DONT KNOW IF IT WILL HURT OR NOT!!..CAUSE I DONT KNOW WAT IM LIKE WITH NEEDLES,.CAUSE THE LAST TIME I GOT A NEEDLE WAS WHEN I WAS 8!

Answers:
Im not sure about the pain, but i know the ear-ache you will get from your dentist if you get one. I wanted mine done and my dentist gave me lots of grief because i spent 2 years with a brace on to get my teeth straight and he said i would just damage them again

Tongue piercings are one of the main causes of chipped and damaged teeth. Also they damage all the enamel on your teeth.
Yes it hurts and then swells for a week to 10 days. If not properly taken care of it can become infected. The choice is still yours but I know several people who paid to have it done and did not make it 3 days before they were removing it.
When you bite your tongue does it hurt?
Erm Yes Daft question - it hurts when you chew your tounge right
I got my tongue pierced a few years ago and was very surprised. Yes, of course it hurts but not as much as I thought it would. Swelling goes down after a week or so but make sure you keep up to date with 'dental hygiene'. Bacteria also affects open wounds and not just teeth.
I do not agree with toung piercing but that's every individual's choice. Everyone is different. What is painful for me may not be for you and so on. It is your choice to stand the pain or not.
yes it does. it feels like u bit it REALLY bad. or at least thats how i remember it
its not really sore its like a nip at the time its the swelling that gets u more
it does for the first 5 seconds or so, thats what it was like for me, right when the needle went in. it stays swelled for about 4-5 days. make sure u have lots of crushed ice on hand. keep it clean, follow the instructions the person gave u and dont skip any cleanings. it will look awesome when its healed. yes its hard to eat at first, try soft foods that u can just swallow or u will be biting the ring itself and ur tongue. just take ur time eating and do what the person tells u.
A girl asked on here about getting her lip pierced so I will give you the same answer I gave her as some of it is still relevant to a tongue piercing. Also remember that the tongue is a muscle and will not heal itself as well as a skin piercing. Plus there is more chance of infection in your mouth.

I had my lip pierced when I was 18. It hurt a lot when I had it pierced but it was bearable. However the two weeks afterwards were not. It swelled to twice the normal size, so not only did I look like I'd been punched, I couldn't eat for two weeks. I had to drink, and then only through a straw. I then got a throat infection and it swelled again so I took it out and now I have a small scar under my lip. Part of me wants to have it done again because it did look amazing for the few days it was healed! However I don't think it's worth going through all that again. Plus it would pretty much make you unemployable in most places. So think carefully about it. Finally if you do go ahead with it, PLEASE take the time to ask around and find a reputable piercer. There are so many people about who aren't doing things properly and this is a big deal! Good Luck xx
i think all you people are NUTS for wanting to get anything pierced. life is hard enough and we have too much pain to go thru to add to it unnecessarily
