Question:

Answers:
Ice cream won't do much to kill the pain, but if you've swallowed much blood, it can relieve the nausea you are experiencing.

Your mouth is full of bacteria, and your blood is the nutrient they love most, so don't worry about the ice cream causing an infection.

Your dentist probably gave you a scrip for Vicodin. That's because the cold of ice cream doesn't numb your jaw very much.
ermm.no ice cream would prolly be good right now
your dentist should have told u al the precautions,if not demand your money back, dentists dont come cheap.tell her u had some ice cream and now theres a lot of pain
It shouldn't hurt no...the tooth is gone so that won't hurt. What may be tender is the gum area around where the tooth once was. Ice cream is soft and cold and, if anything will be soothing, rather than painful
After my husband had 3 teeth pulled a few months ago, I was directed to stop on the way home and get him his favorite milk shake. They said it would help with the swelling. It made him feel better too. :)
Actually when I was young most of the dentists I knew would TELL us to eat ice-cream after you've had a teeth pulled out. It soothes and cools the area. But maybe that's changed now..??
