It sounds like panic attacks. You can get meds for it like Celexa,Paxil and others.Tell your doctor about it,it sounds like you have the classic symptoms. If it is that, take the meds,I watched my mother have panic attacks and it really messed up her life in ways.
It's a panic attack. You probably have anxiety disorder like many of us do today. It's treatable. See your doctor and get him to recommend a psychologist. Try various exercises including breathing techniques and biofeedback before resorting to medication. For many people, it's a temporary condition. Good luck.
Per Den's recommendation-- Too many people/doctors today are WAY to quick to turn to pills to solve everything. it's true there are many useful drugs on the market for treating anxiety disorder, but it is REALLY best to try other techniques first. Most drugs have side effects and many are addictive. In addition they can mask the problem without fixing anything. There are many other ways of dealing with anxiety. Simply learning about the problem and its causes often goes a long way in alleviating some of the symptoms. If ultimately you do need medication, you can begin with one of the more gentle ones. One I've used is a strong antihistamine which has been found to lower anxiety.
