is there any stem cell research going on into chronic renal failure?

Question:
one kidney being multi cycstic and the other being dilated I know the conventional outcome is a transplant I would like to know if there is any radical or ground breaking treatment for this condition & if so whether someone would take on a child to conduct such a procedure.

Answers:
Renal failure has lots of causes, any treatment would have to specific for the individual cause.

I tried to set up some info here but the cut and paste would be obscenly long.

Go to the link below and type in polycystic kidney and you will get a list of studies/trials and who to contact to get involved.
