My grandmother's remedy was nutmeg. She claims it not only cleared up acne, it prevented scarring. Fortunately, I did not have acne so I never tried it.
Another home remedy is your first morning urine. Before you get grossed out know that urine is sterile. Don't worry you don't have to drink it, you are supposed to apply it topically.
Good luck.
Stress makes any condition exacerbate, so try to relax.
Make sure to wash your fash each morning and night with either a gentle soap or cleanser. A toner or pad with salycylic (spelling?) acid helps to dry the acne. Try not to touch your face with your hands very much or lean the phone on your face. If you are a female and you use hair products, that can cause your forehead to break out. Drink lots of water to make sure your skin is being properly hydrated. If you want to use a foundation, get a water based foundation and use a fresh Qtip each time to just cover the areas that need to be covered. During the day, if your face gets oily, blot it with tissue or papers made for that rather than adding more makeup. Wash your pillow cases at least once a week. Use sunscreen if you go outside, or a foundation that has sunscreen in it. If these things don't help, talk to your parents about seeing a dermatologist because there are some good products on the market for acne that don't cost too much.
Before you go the prescription route - which can be expensive - please try some skin care regimens such as Pro-Active. They have a very good success rate and the kit is readily available. If, after you've tried some of these methods, and are not happy, then go to a dermatologist - they can help with a lot of different topical alternatives.
i use proactive it works really good, or u can go to dermatologist.
TWICE A DAY, EVERYDAY, this is my regimen:
Wash with a GENTLE cleanser. I use Neutrogena extra gentle cleanser (another popular one is cetaphyl) Then, I use Neutrogena "On the Spot", it's 5% Benzoyl Peroxide. I know, you expect the higher the percentage, the better! Anyway, I use a lot of it, typically spreading it out one finger length. You want to start slowly so you don't dry.
Then, use a moisturizer. I use one with alpha hydroxy to sluff the dead skin. It might burn, though.
I use this twice a day and have been doing very well with it.
You might want to consider a dermatologist if it is that bad....
Oh, and DON'T GIVE IT TOO MUCH POWER! One time I had so many cysts on my neck, I kept looking at them, they were so gross. I finally started visualizing that the water in the shower was acid eating away at the acne. That and a facial, and it cleared up!
Before you try all kinds of cleansers and stuff or going to a doctor, try taking a multivitamin. They are inexpensive and they work. I went through an acne stage for about 2 years, and NOTHING would clear it at all. My friend got me into taking multivitamins when I was really tired for energy. She gave me a bottle and my face cleared up soon after. They make them if you are male or female, and I even used a generic brand that worked great. Even if I skip a face washing or two I never get one pimple. Just make sure you drink a good amount of water with them. You will have energy and good skin in no time.
If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.
Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

Aww Honey, don't stop living your life because of it!! I know it bothers you but you can't stay in for the rest of your life! Get some really good cover-up and that will help some.
Here are some REALLY good, and very inexpensive ways to treat MOST acne at home. Try each one (unless you’re allergic to the ingredients) until you find one that works best for you. Good luck sweety. =) BTW, I know some of these may sound bizarre but try them…what have you got to lose other than the acne!!
1. Put toothpaste on your acne before going to bed. (Make sure it is paste not gel). It should reduce the swelling of acne noticeably.
2. Dab egg whites on your acne and leave on for 20 minutes or overnight. It’s supposed to pull the infection out of the blemish.
3. Wash acne infected areas twice a day with warm salt water. This reduces oils in the skin and helps to dry the acne up without further agitation.
4. Use ice on acne before going to bed. This works best on pimples that have not yet formed a head. It reduces swelling and helps to prevent scarring.
5. Wash and dab acne with cotton balls that have been soaked in vinegar. Let dry; do not wash off immediately.
6. Place strawberries leaves over your acne and the alkalinity will help to reduce the swelling.
*Always drink plenty of water, eat healthy foods and get exercise.
