Answers:
First you need to consult with your doctor who will prescribe the appropriate medication for you.
Variables that could be involved in you having this condition so young are:
Family history
Diet
Lack of exercise
Overweight.
Consult your doctor. Don;t just listen to what is posted here.
If you are overweight you will need to make dietary changes
cut down on high calorie, high carb, high salt, high fat foods.fried foods. Make healthy food choices. You need to get your parents involved.
I put the salt in there because the consumption of salt can increase your blood pressure.
Start an exercise program.
Go for bike rides, walk briskly ( you don;t have to belong to a gym)
start out slow and work yourself up to more distance and time.
You are at the time in your life where it is the easiest to lose weight.
Whether you are overweight or not. Exercising will help to reduce your blood pressure.
This will all take some work on your part. BUT you will enjoy a healthier lifestyle and HELP TO REDUCE YOUR BLOODPRESSURE.
I wish you all the best!!!!

start there.

Heard of Crisco? Rub your body down each night before bed.
Eat lots of butter. Don't get that fake butter either.
If your doctor says you have high blood pressure then you should follow what ever advice or medications they may prescribe for you.
This is something that needs to be diagnosed by a physician not a machine in a store.
Take it easy, working yourself into a frenzy will only furthur increase your blood pressure. Blood pressure fluctuates , almost as much as 10-30 points within minutes, so unless it is constantly high over a period of time, you will be ok. Follow your doctor's instructions, and if you think he is wrong, seek a second opinion, Doctor's have been known to be wrong more than they let on.
watch ur eating diet baby....
it will be hard to stop or change ur favourite immediately but take slow...
consult to experts and doctors and other experienced people.
Don't' use anymore salt instead use Mrs. dash or any seasoning WITHOUT SALT. EXERCISE BY WALKING FROM 30 MINUTES to AN HOUR. JUST EXERCISE. AVOID GREASY FOODS. bake your foods, steam your vegetables and eat lots of them. drink water, crystal light, and diet soda. try to stay away from sugar and maybe use splenda. eat five times a day in small portions. you should have breakfast, an hour later a snack, then lunch, then a snack from one to 2 hours depending on you, and have dinner. if you went to the doctor then why didn't he tell you all this. if you did not go, then go as soon as possible. he would tell you to diet and exercise and if that does not help you may need to take medication with your diet and exercise plan. by the way stress cause you to have high blood pressure. so relax and find out what is causing you to stress besides the high blood pressure. you may need to talk to someone. good luck!
Listen to Geri. I also have high blood pressure. I found out when I was 21 and it's really important to take care of yourself. Do yoga and no salt!
Sweetheart do what your Dr tells you to and keep in touch with him/her. If you are carrying extra weight, do you best to lose it. Don't be a couch potato, and lay off some of the sodas, because caffeinated pop like Coke and Pepsi can raise your BP. Please get a diet list of foods that can make your condition worse. Since you are 12, lots of them may be your favorites: almost anything from McDonald's, Burger King, Taco Time, etc. The culprit is SALT and/or sodium. Pizza has lots of salt in it as well. Just get yourself a list from your Dr. and follow it. You are young enough and aware enough that if you confront it now you may well be able to keep it under control. It takes a comparatively long time for hypertension to seriously damage the body, so the fact that you are aware of it has given you a definite advantage. I hope your family is supporting your efforts. You have a great attitude, and I believe you will succeed! Good luck!
Stay away from stress as much as possible.
