Answers:
If you're allergic to pollen, here are some things you can do:
* Keep the windows and doors shut as much as possible. This will keep the allergens low inside your home/office.
* Wash your face when coming in from outdoors. This will keep you from having pollen on your face.
* Change your clothes when coming from indoors for the rest of the day/evening. This will keep you from carrying around the pollen and spreading it onto your furniture.
* Take a shower before going to bed, especially if you were outdoors during the day. This will keep you from having allergens (pollen) on your hair when you go to bed.
Allergic to dust:
* Keep windows closed as much as possible to keep dust from entering your house and collecting on your furniture.
* When dusting furniture, don't dust with a dry cloth. Dusting with a dry cloth will only move the dust around. Dust with either a furniture polish or a commercial dusting cloth (I use Pledge Grab It).
Allergic to pet dander:
* Brush your pet outdoors to keep the dander from flying all around your the room that you're brushing your pet in. Change clothes after brushing your pet.
* Shampoo your pet (if allowed) with anti-dander shampoo. Also, bathe your pet as much as is healthy for your type of pet.
If you are super allergic to pollen and such, you can always get inexpensive over-the-counter meds of Loratodine, an antihistamine that a lot of allergy meds have in them. I believe it's like the generic version of Claritin at Target.
Best wishes to you on controlling your allergies!
