I am having what feels like pauses in my heartbeat, and i am healthy, anybody else notice this??

Question:

Answers:
sounds like it could be a PVC (premature ventricular contraction). About 20% of the population have them to some extent or another. Most wouldn't even notice them. It's generally not harmful unless it bothers you or unless it gets bad. Although PVCs seem like a skipped beat, it's actually an extra 1/2 beat prematurely. If this is what you have, it shouldn't be a big deal. If your pauses continue, I'd go see a doctor. They can tell you what's wrong and if you should do anything about it.

Other Answers:
get it checked it could be a simple heart murmur means your heart skips a beat sometimes
why would you take a chance of asking such a serious question on yahoo instead of a doctor?
It could be stress, anxiety, etc. have your doctor check you over. Ask for an EKG
Hmm..weird, i have been feeling the same thing lately.how old are you? are you on any medications? I am 23 female, also healthy.
That happens to me sporadically and after i exercise.
How long the pauses. It is important. Does the heart stop for 5-10 seconds or more. If yes, go see a doctor.

If you just feel that you heart just miss a beat, the chances are that it is only APB (atrial premature beat), that is, some oddities in the heart conduction system that is not dangerous in any way and is frequently found in young healthy people.
mine sorta like does a flutter- once in a while
It depends on the cause as to whether it's dangerous or not. The doc is right, but what these docs do not realize is that if it is due to an electrolyte imbalance, that can be deadly. But if u are eating right, there is no reason for that to be the case.
