Please Help?

Question:

Last week I had unprotected sex with my wife - usually use a condom. Now she is complaining of severe thrush like syptoms. She is on her second lot of canisten (sp). Is it normal for thrush to flair up and not go like this or could I have given her something from a one night stand (unprotected oral) I had a few months ago? I have no symptoms of a STD.

It sound like it could be either Thrush (not a STD) or Chlamydia (STD) Have look at the symptoms below and see which ones best match your wife's symptoms:

Thrush: Vaginal discomfort - itching or burning
A thick white discharge with a 'cottage cheese' appearance
Redness or swelling of the vagina or vulva
Stinging or burning while urinating.

Chlamydia: An unusual vaginal fluid (discharge)
A burning sensation when urinating
Deep pain during vaginal sex
Vaginal bleeding after sex.

If it's either of the above your wife will need to go to the doctor to be tested then you will BOTH need to be treated so that you don't keep passing it back and forth between each other.
