My 12 mo old got the chicken pox vaccine yesterday. Today she has a rash, is it chicken pox or a coincidence?

Question:
I know what chicken pox looks like, and this could or could not be. If it is chicken pox, is she contagious since she got it from the vaccine.

Answers:
The vaccines are a small dose of the actual virus so it is no coinsidence. It would be a good idea to boost her immune system .. the best natural way I know is with Xango an incredible product.

Other Answers:
she prolly just got it from the vaccine.because docters dont screw up unless they are rly out of it..lol

I'm no expert, but I know that if you get the flu vaccine and you've never had the vaccine before. you most likely get the flu. So she might have the chicken pox, and she's still contagious just like normally. In most cases when a child has been vaccinated against any communicable disease he or she will develop a rash and or a fever. Only be concerned if it lasts more than 48 hours

Vaccines are often made from the very virus they are made to protect you from. That is why flu shots will often give symptoms of the flu. The reason is to build the body's immunity. Ask the doctor about it but I am pretty certain the rash is harmless and will pass.

coincidence. although the vaccine does use the chicken pox virus, it cannot actually cause the disease. Also, the virus takes 20 days to incubate, so she wouldnt have developed the disease from yesterday.
the rash may clear itself over a few days, but of course, you can always visit the doc.

The chicken pox vaccine is a lesser dose of chicken pox. The rash will go away in a few days, the body is just reacting to the vaccine. It is most likely just a reaction to the vaccination. It is a myth that if you get a flu shot you can get the flu.it isn't possible because it isn't a live virus that they inject into you. I imagine the same goes for chicken pox!

Well a couple things. Usually the chicken pox vaccine rash doesn't happen this soon - usually occurs 1-2 weeks later. If it looks like chicken pox its *possible* but unlikely. I would guess that it is coincidence.

The rash that occurs after the chicken pox vaccine, although it looks like a mild case of chicken pox, is not contagious. The same thing can happen with the MMR vaccine.
