Spinal Fusion...?

Question: Has anyone else ever had a spinal fusion for scoliosis? I have to have on later this year. If you have, do you have any tips for helping in the healing process and the coping? I'm doing okay with the fact that I have to have it, and am actually a bit excited about not having to deal with the curvature and imbalance of my spine. I just want to know of any tips for the hospital stay and in the days and months following. Thanks all.
