Also my father taught me not to pee on my hands when I was just a lad.
Ewwwwwwwww
Yes.

It is very discusting not to-it's not only self conflicting, but they spread to everyone else.

It will also help you have less colds.

Eeww.
yes it is terrible if you do not
yes cause you can get people sick and cause that is sick! who ever doesn't is disgusting and dumb!
Yes, Mom freaked me out as a kid, saying some kid she knew almost died from not washing his hands.
Yes, I always wash my hands after using the bathroom. It disgusts me when I am in a public restroom and I see woman after woman leave without washing. Even mothers with their children!! Wake up people! That is why I always open the door with a paper towel. which is annoying when bathrooms only have dryers. :-( There are too many things to catch out there to not wash!! Think about that next time you eat out at a restaurant.
Urine is sterile, so you are not going to get diseases from urinating on yourself. However, general rules of etiquette decree that you wash your hands afterwards.

Funny story: Two guys are urinating; the first guy starts to leave, passing by the sink. The second guy says "When I was a child, my mom taught me to wash up after urinating". The first guy replied, "Really? My mom taught me not to urinate on my hands."
I do wash my hands after urinating. With soap. Every time. I think it's compeletly disgusting that people do not wash their hands after using the bathroom. Just from touching the seat or anything else in the bathroom you could possibly be infecting yourself or touching something that you would otherwise NEVER touch, JUST because some other careless person did NOT was theirs!! And for males, what about splatter? Plus there's actual HANDLING going on, and then touch a door knob or a light switch. Oh geez. Same for women too.. And don't even head for the kitchen or fridge or ANY other food iteam after you don't wash your hands!! Please people, wash your hands.

Actually I just received an email from a friend with some disturbing information/ statistics of contact from not washing hands and a few other random yuckies. I don't know where he got it from or the validity or whether or not it's bull, but I will share:

"During an hour's swimming at a municipal pool you will ingest 1/12 liter of urine.

In an average day your hands will have come into indirect contact with 15 penises (touching door handles, etc.)

An average person's yearly fast food intake will contain 12 pubic hairs.

In a year you will have swallowed 14 insects - while you slept!

Annually you will shake hands with 2 women who have recently masturbated and failed to wash their hands.

Annually you will shake hands with 26 men who have recently masturbated and failed to wash their hands.

In a lifetime 22 workmen will have examined the contents of your dirty linen basket.

At an average wedding reception you have a 1/100 chance of getting a cold sore from one of the guests.

Daily you will breath in 1 liter of other peoples' anal gases.

HAVE A GREAT DAY.

.and wash your damn hands!!"
Yes, I do wash my hands.it is important to do this so any abnormal bacteria and disease causing viruses that may be on your hands are not transmitted to others when you come in contact with others.

It is important to wash with soap and water, too.you are not actually killing the organisms on your hand by doing this, you are actually mechanically removing them from your hands, therefore it is important to scrub your hands when doing this (think doctors scrubbing up before a surgery.a little excessive for everyday hand washing, but you get my point)

Use hot water if available.easier to remove the bugs!

If there is no water available to wash your hands.use the antibacterial hand gel.scrub your hands together vigourously.it will do the same thing, although not as effective as soap and water.
I saw a worker in del taco pass the soap and water after using the restroom, totally I agree, especially after a women uses it cause she touches her stuff sometimes, I also use my foot to flush, if it is manual, most of them I have seen flushes itself
What makes you think that your penis is dirtier than the rest of your body? I mean, I only wash my hands after urinating if I have some sort of accident, which hasn't happened since I was about three years old. I have very good hygine, but I think that this is just a waste of water and paper towels.
yes because i don't want to know how my penis taste like.
yes.always..it's a habit.and I feel better when my hygiene is up to snuff..what's really gross.if someone has a BM & does't wash their hands.
I agree.yes.
Yes! of course! --------But sadly many people dont-what i have notice is thay guys dont wash their hands most of the time which is scary and nasty.
i dont usually wash my hands after urinating when at home. if it's number 2 then i always wash my hands regardless of where i am. in a public restroom i always wash hands and i do not ever make contact with a toilet seat unless it has one of those covers and i really need to go.
Where has your penis been that it carries E Coli and hepatitis or What? Meninigitis are you nuts or just stupid . I wash my hands before I Urinate I know where my penis has been but you hands touch door knobs, counters, etc: then I wash after I flush because if your penis is that dirty your the one spreading germs Buddy.
