HIV tests do not cover ALL STD tests. They will draw blood or take whatever samples they need to make a correct diagnosis. The STD tests are not expensive, and I think the HIV is the least expensive of them all, but the other tests cost as much as blood work you would have at a well visit to the doctor. There are a lot of STD tests, not just one, but it is good that you are going to get this done, so you know and can get treated if there is anything. You should also retest for the HIV in a few months too, because sometimes they may come back false negative the first few times if the antibodies have not formed yet. I know that is scary to think of, but to be on the safe side, I would do that. That way you know for sure, that it is a true negative. I hope I have not scared you. I have had STD tests done because of a tramatic event that happened to me and I know how scary it is, especially waiting for the results and having to go back to be retested.
