I have fibromyalgia and myofascitis.I am looking for treatments that worked for you.?

Question:
I have had fibromyalgia and myofascitis for over 7 yrs. and have had every possible treatment.injections and more meds than any one person could handle.I am looking for alternative treatments that don't cost alot of money

Answers:
I have fibromyalgia and have found, along with drugs prescribed to help me sleep and relax muscles, that physiotherapy can be a great help, if the therapist is experienced in treating patients with the disorder. Otherwise flare-ups can occur. Mine can release knots of muscles and trigger points and relieve much of the pain. Mild exercise is good, but studies show that heavy exercise backfires. Fibromyalgia patients react differently to exercise and have to be cautious. You might consider acupuncture. It worked well for me until electrodes were added to the needeles and I flared up.

Other Answers:
I've been taking Omega 3, 6, 9. It's been helping, but too soon to tell. I just started. So far the only thing that has helped me is a professional deep massage( when I can afford one) I run a thumping(percussive) massager on myself as much as two hours a day and do stretching exercises several times a day for about 2 or 3 minutes.
for fibromyalgia massage therapy and phycisal therapy and then relaxing things (so you dont stress out too much)
I take 800 mg. of naproxen (Aleve) and a 1000-mg. flaxseed oil capsule every night at bedtime for pain prevention. I use Arnica (a homeopathic herb) as needed for flareups that the naproxen and flaxseed oil don't help. Check out the links below for information. Good luck.

A friend of ours at church has Fibro Myalgia. She has been taking a natural product called Reliv for a few months, and is doing a lot better. It has been a tremendous blessing in our lives as well. If you would like more information, you can email us at worknman73@yahoo.com
