Is there any way I can get back my body’s original immunity / resistance to direct sunlight.?

Question:
All of a sudden, I have developed sensitivity to direct sunlight. I develop rashes on my scalp (I am bald), my forehead and other parts of the body (which are covered in clothes) when I am exposed to direct sunlight even for a short duration.

I know I should use sun screen lotion when going out in the sun.

But is there any way I can get back my body’s original immunity / resistance to direct sunlight.

Thanks for your help.

Note that I live in India, a tropical country where there is plenty of sunlight all round the year.

Answers:
Your looking to build your tolerance back up but there's a couple reasons why you shouldn't. Your body's slowly changed over the years and so has the damaging effects of the sun.

And the negative effects of sun exposure and skin cancer are cumulative. You should be looking to protect yourself from direct sunlight whenever possible. Clothing and hats are best. SPF sunblock (when used correctly) comes in second.

Other Answers:
sometimes, as you get older (i am sad to say it but) your body's immune system is weakened, especally if you recovered from a serious illness. I suggest wearing 30 spf or higher.
The UV light damages the cell membranes which is impacting your natural resistance. Increase your intake of fruits and vegetables (especially ones RED in color, which contain lycopene). Bottled lycopene will not work; for it's isolated and synthetic. If availability is limited, I STRONGLY recommend a quality whole food supplement with credible research to back it up. apuzyr@yahoo
