Why can't we cure cancer? We can test the atmosphere of a planet 8gazillion miles away.and cancer? Why Not?

Question:

Answers:
It is because a company has to be able to make a lot of money doing it. Drug companies are here to make money, NOT help people with their health. Read this webpage to see a story about this.

Other Answers:
because we choose to spend billions of dollars on space exploration whe we could use all that money to cure the problems of the world.
no we cannot test the atmosphere of a planet far far away but we are comming up with new cures for different cancers all the time
Because if they did, the drug companies would take a great loss not to mention the surgeons. It's not gonna happen. Incidences of cancer will increase exponentially in the next 10 years with the coming of the worst solar cycle in the planet's history and more frequently developing cracks in the EM field. Do you think the drug companies will lose out on all that profit ?

Good question! I have lost so many people to that nasty disease. I wish someone would find a cure.
I don't think you'll like my answer but here goes:

Firstly we cannot test the atmosphere of a planet millions of miles away. They DEDUCE what is likely to be on it based on its appearance, size, movement (orbits, etc.) and what is already known about planets nearer to us. Earth is very unique but most of the planets in our solar system that HAVE significant atmospheres (some have very shallow atmospheres) have atmospheres of methane and nitrogen or something like that. They just presume that a planet far away that is a gas giant (like Jupiter/Saturn) would probably be like Jupiter or Saturn. If the planet is small and rock-like, such as Mars or Mercury, they will presume that such a planet is like those. If you have information to the contrary, please share it with me.

Yes, the poster about the drug companies is correct--the bottom line IS money. But that really does not begin to describe the root of the problem.

The thing is, the human body is EXTREMELY complex on a molecular level. Think of how many gazillions of cells your body has. Think back to your biology class. How does a cell replicate? How does it know whether to turn into a hair cell or a liver cell? To put it simply, cells are programmed to replicate and then certain things within the cell's DNA will direct what the cell is to become.

Essentially when you were just a zygote (a single cell--an egg fertilized by sperm) that is your "original".everything beyond that is a copy. It is like using a copy machine. You have an original and then you have a copy. Each time your cells replicate, each cell then becomes a copy of a copy. You can imagine the quality of such copies worsening over time. Such is the way it is in your body as well. The key is all in the DNA. Yes, we have mapped out the human DNA (composed of the four nucleotides).

Cancer at its most elementary level is a mutation of the DNA to the point where it is programmed to do wrong things. Environmental toxins can screw up DNA pretty easily. Small molecules like benzene (which can be found in aerosol cans or high levels in charred meat for example) can get wedged in between the nucleotide combinations causing bigger spaces or wrong combinations when replicating. Cigarette smoking or excessive ultraviolet radiation (free radical damage) from suntanning can destroy or fracture parts of your DNA.

Again, a copy of a copy. Once it's messed up, it will keep replicating that bad copy. And lo and behold you have cancer. And again, you have gazillions of cells and this is happening all the time on a molecular level to probably many billions of your cells at once.it's something you can't perceive or stop from happening, really.

Cells are extremely small and these are things that large macromolecules like drugs or a surgical knife simply are too large to affect all of them. They are too large to single out and affect single cells.

With all of this said, a cure-all for cancer will probably have to come from the cellular level. Your body has various cancer cell "seekers" called "natural killer" cells (or NK cells) whose primary purpose is to seek and destroy cancer cells. But sometimes mutations in the DNA can shut off production of these cells. Or sometimes mutations can make them less effective. Or sometimes cancer cells simply blend in with other cells so that such cells are not recognized by the NK cells. And sometimes you have diseases like HIV which basically kills off NK cells. Again, scientists probably do not know the full function of these cells.

My point is, this is so much more complex than you think it is and it is not something that can fixed with a miracle cure, at least not yet.

So yes, if there is more invested in cancer fighting then perhaps we can get somewhere--but research is extremely expensive and of course then the FDA has to approve it, which in itself could take another long paragraph to explain.

As there are limited resources in this world, you cannot simply spend all of your money in one thing. I agree, that some things like the space program are probably not as valuable, but that's the idea.
We CAN cure cancer! There are lots of cures, but it's a complex disease and there's no one-size-fits-all cancer cure. The biggest impediment to curing cancer is the government's suppression of effective cures that bypass the huge pharmaceutical industry.

There are hundreds of cures that have been suppressed, clinics shut down, doctors jailed, medications taken away from patients that were being helped.

The cancer industry is one of the biggest industries in the United States. It's a multi-billion dollar industry. There is a sick relationship between Big Pharma, politicians, the FDA, and funding for medical schools and research. None of these interests want to see a cancer remedy that people could conceivably grow in their backyard without paying patent royalties.

The other impediment, as I see it, is that most people have become passive and either afraid or unwilling to take responsibility for making different medical choices. They've been brainwashed into believing that conventional surgery, chemo and radiation are the only things that will work, and that anything else is quackery. Their lives can be at stake and yet they won't do the homework that would encourage them to question authority.

I beat cancer, but it took a lot of work on my part to find alternative treatments that would help me. I wrote a resource paper about my experience to help other people who are looking for information. I'm not selling any cures, this is just my story:
