the best way to detect your risks is to have yearly physical exams and bloodwork done. -- we can see right of the bat if there's a risk for you to have heart problems and/or diabetes.
in the meantime, try to maintain a healthy lifestyle -- healthy diet, no smoking, no drinking etc. Of course I do. I have had diabetes for 39 years and had 2 heart attacks
