if your TB test come up positive and your xray test is negative do you still have to take the medicine?
Question:
Answers:
It depends! If the skin test is positive (more than 10mm) and you are in high risk group and the Chest X-Ray is Negative, you should take INH for 9 months (once a day) and you should be checked each month for your Liver Function (blood test).
So go to your Doctor ASAP.
Take care
Other Answers:
You do whatever the f*ck your doctor tells you to buddy. unless he's Dr. Riviera
sometimes you get false positives, that's why they follow up with an xray
Ask the doctor but go to a specialist. My daughter's came up positive but she didn't take the meds. I wish I could tell you the doctors name but I don't know it.
yes you will have to take INH and from now on you won't have tine tests (skin tests) like regular people but you'll have to have a chest x ray.
