I am a healthy male age 36 yrs, have nerve tingling rt forearm inner side for last 20 days. heart related?

Question:
have a family history of heart disease, i have been active in sports until recently due to a back ache, have gained 02 kgs in last 06 months. could this problem be indicative of a heart problem or is it likely to be nerve compression as i tend to sleep on my arm(s) at night.

Answers:
Go see a doctor for the best answer, but it sounds more like a pinched nerve.

If you have a history of heart disease, you need to take care to exercise regulalry (get your back looked at too) eat a healthy diet full of nutrients and fiber, and keep your weight in a healthy range. it's also best to not smoke, keep the alcohol at moderate levels and kick any caffeine out of your routine.

Very possibly heart related! Go see a doctor as soon as possible!

either but I'd say carpal tunnel syndrome It could only be a pinch nerve. Because it it's hear related you should be in the hospital now. You have to continue working out, gaining weight is not healthy, even if you have backache you can still do some light exercises. If your problem continues I suggest you see a neurologist. It could be a carpal tunnel syndrome.

This is unlikely to be heart related and much more likely to be nerve compression related either to sleeping on your arms or carpal tunnel syndrome from using computer. Typical heart symptoms would be related to exertion such as exercising or walking.

If you are worried though, it would be a good idea to have a thorough checkup including a stress test. Also this may be an incentive to modify your diet and exercise regularly. Good Luck with everything.

You may want to see a neurosurgeon about that problem! I had same problem and it was fixed by ulnar nerve transposition. At any rate, see your doctor immediately for an emg to rule this out and mri to see if it is nerve compression. I guess some of us always start thinking the worst. But it could be something really simple like nerves or just the fact that you are making it ache by sleeping on it. It sounds like you are worrying about it a lot and I think you should visit a doctor and put your mind at rest, you will feel a lot better, honest!

www.wattsandflavell.co.uk It's been 20 days, so if you're still alive, this particular thing may well not have been a cardiac event.
With history of heart problems in family, you should be on very good terms with a cardiologist, his wife and kids, dogs, etc. etc.
Hope you're getting tested often, and able to stay focused on diet and exercise.
