I hope you're seeing a rhuematologist. You should be on an anti-inflammatory and a DMARD (disease modifying anti-rheumatic drug) to stop damage to the joints. I was just diagnosed after 5 years of complaining of joint pain. I've had flare ups over the years and they were getting more frequent. I'm finally starting to feel better after 3 months of starting plaquenil, voltaren, and sulfasalazine. As for symptoms, I've had joint pains (worst in my hips), knees, wrists, fingers & hands, shoulders. When I have a flare up, I am very fatigued, I get depressed ,and am so stiff I have trouble doing normal daily activities. The meds must be kicking in now cause I'm getting energy back and don't ache. I hope it lasts.Good luck.
