Has anyone heard of or or tried a "Salt Pipe" for breathing difficulties?

Question: I was reading my group email summary from COPD international and they were discussing this. Is this a higher dose of salt/saline for your lungs than Xopenex or Albuterol? They say these are manufactured in the UK and shipped to the U.S. I would be interested in hearing some more about these.
