how many deaths in the last 5 years have occured because of anophthalmia?
Question:

I keep wondering if this question is some sort of joke - it seems that anyone who would be in a postion to have heard of anophthalmia would have some inkling of what it is, and would realize that it isn't a fatal disease ... but maybe there's something I don't know about it.
Anyways, anophthalmia is the most severe form of microphthalmia. It means basically to have no eyeball. There are various ways in which this can occur, but by itself it is not fatal to be missing one or both eyes.
Thus, I would guess that no one has died from anophthalmia.
I hope that answers the question properly.
Each and every one officially diagnosed for that reason.
