okay if you have genital warts/herpes are they inside vagina?

Question:
like i know they can be outside the vagina like around anal on lips etc. between lips, but like can they be inside vagina also? what other diseases can be inside the vagina? something that like outbreaks like warts or herpes? i couldnt find much info searching yahoo

Answers:
Warts can be on the inside of your vagina and on your cervix. I had them there, so I know they can be there.

Genital herpes are not on the inside of your vagina, they are on the outer and inner lips though, but not on the inside. Again, I have genital herpes so I know where they are.

Many STDs can cause discharge from the inside of the vagina. Chancroid, chlamydia, gonorrhea, and trichomoniasis ("trich") can all cause a discharge from the inside of the vagina.

Other Answers:
Yes they can be on the inside of the vagina, and also on the cervix, which is a leading cause of cervical cancer. Get this treated as soon as possible if you have this, and make sure you get a pap smear every year.

HM.. good question. The answer is yes they can grow inside the vaginal canal. HPV can also flare up. Human papillomavirus is a sexually transmitted disease (STD) that is caused by human papillomavirus (HPV). Human papillomavirus is the name of a group of viruses that includes more than 100 different strains or types. More than 30 of these viruses are sexually transmitted, and they can infect the genital area of men and women including the skin of the penis, vulva (area outside the vagina), or anus, and the linings of the vagina, cervix, or rectum. Most people who become infected with HPV will not have any symptoms and will clear the infection on their own.

Some of these viruses are called "high-risk" types, and may cause abnormal Pap tests. They may also lead to cancer of the cervix, vulva, vagina, anus, or penis. Others are called "low-risk" types, and they may cause mild Pap test abnormalities or genital warts. Genital warts are single or multiple growths or bumps that appear in the genital area, and sometimes are cauliflower shaped. Females who have HPV show an increased rate of
cervical cancer.
