It's not homeopathic, but then again it's not a heavy anti-psychotic drug either: NYSTATIN. Try running a search on "Treat Tourettes with diet not drugs" and the site should pop up.

Ja, mien uncle had da tourettes, ve shlapped him vit ein fish I am a mom of a child with Tourettes and have done a lot of research. Mostly, the tics and vocal tremors are caused by electrical impulses from the brain. As you probably already know, TS is kind of like a "wiring" problem. Not necessarily the hardware (physical) or the software (behavioral).
I have found that keeping the home environment as stress-free as possible is the best thing. Allow your child to tic without comment from you or other family members. If he feels safe and can be himself without people making a big deal out of it, the tics may decrease. Learn to accept your child as he is. In public, YOUR attitude toward you son will set the tone for others around you. If they see you loving him, accepting him, and treating him just like you would anyone else, they will too.
If you decide to medicate, be sure to see a Pediatric Neurologist. If he also has ADD or ADHD, he cannot take Ritalin or those types of medicines, as they will make the tics worse.
Of course, it cannot hurt to try alternative treatments, special diets, or the like. You may find something that helps. But all in all, it is a neurobiological condition that does respond well to medicines (Clonidine, etc).
Take heart.. Tourettes is not the worst thing in the world! My son has an IQ of 124, is artistic, funny and creative and I would not trade him for the world. As you know, Tourettes is lifelong and there is not a cure (yet, see http://www.tsa-usa.org/ and click on "Genetic Breakthrough Yields Clue to Tourettes"), but most boys symptoms peak at about 12-13 and lessen by the time they are about 18 or so. Now that is not true for every case, but it is common.
