Sounds like she is really showing some improvement from last time. Sats of 92% is a wee bit on the low side, but not bad at all. The Doctors need to order a blood gas on her so her PH, PaO2 and CO2 can be checked. They also need to get some parameters on her ( if she is not already trached ) to check how strong her respiratory muscles are. These things will be her determining factor of getting her off the ventilator. Hang in there and be strong, I will keep you both in my prayers. Keep letting us know how she is doing.
Since you don't say WHY she's on a ventilator (broken ribs? stroke? asthma? cancer?) it's impossible to tell you how long she'll need the assist with her breathing.
