Is endometrosis of the colon common? How is it treated?

Question:

Answers:
Okay, you've had several BAD answers here. Yes it IS common. It is treated several ways. Surgery & laser treatment. Birth Control. Lupron. I personally am a fan of Lupron treatment because it is MUCH more reliable and non-invasive. I have personally had that treatment. No one is certain how endometriosis gets into the colon, but it DOES in many cases, and usually is also present in the appendix.

Other Answers:
Endometriosis is always a uterine condition. When it gets bad enough it can travel to other nearby organs. If bad enough, surgery and a hysterectomy are needed.
I don't know if it's common, but I know that it's treated by getting a hysterectomy.
