Hi, I have had Crohn's for 15 + yrs. I am on a really restrictive diet due to extreme narrowing in the ileum. I try to avoid most fresh fruits, those with skins, & seeds. I also avoid raw veggies such as lettuce, cabbage, broccoli etc. I also cannot eat nuts, popcorn anything that is hard to digest. When having a flare eat a low residue diet, & low fiber diet many can be found on the internet with a quick search. good luck!

i know two people with crohn and they bothe eat marijuana salads and it works great they say.

My son is currently being evaluated for Crohn's. I was told the only thing to worry about is to eat lots of protein. A close friend has had it for almost 20 years. She has never done anything special with her diet except to not eat too many raw veggies such as salad as it makes her diahrea worse.. Some people suggest staying well hydrated. Good Luck. If your going to see the DR. and you do have Crohn's disease He will tell you or send you to a dietition if he dosn't tell you ASK!

I have had crohns for 20 years, and have had two bowel resections, i have found with myself to keep clear of any thing fibrous, fresh fruit, nuts, cabbage, brocoli, coconut, steak i have found the worst, if i eat steak i end up in hospital, stick to fish and chicken, well cooked veges, stewed fruit and just easy digestible foods, i found eating small amounts help alot, instead of big ones, our bowels need time to get food though, so dont overeat. Keep up fluids, we dehydrate really quickly, so thats imporant.
