Both Flonase and Nasonex are steroids. (Not Barry Bonds steroids though!) They both work by decreasing inflammation in the nasal passages. They will decrease symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, and post-nasal drip which can cause sore throat. They have the same exact mechanism of action. One may work better for you than the other, but if you wanted to save some money, Flonase is available in a generic while Nasonex is not. Be sure to use them on a daily basis for best results. You may also continue to take over the counter medications like Claritin or Benadryl if needed while waiting for the nasal steroid to take effect.

nothing. they are crap. if you want to cure you're asthma then you must understand what causes it-MYCOPLASMAS- a parasite which can be eliminated easily. check out www.cdc.gov and search mycoplasmas & parasites- i have been sick since i was 5 years old and just cured myself by using a parasite cleanse from my local herb store for $10 a month- use it for three month or until they start to self replicate again. everyone has parasites- they are from pets-water-fruits-veggies-fish. meat-and walking barefoot. you must do a cleanse every year to get rid of new ones. parasites cause most diseases-there are thousands of them!
Just because you use flonase and nasonex doesnt mean you have asthma like the person above said. Here is the deal flonase works by shutting off the drip in you nasal passage that produces fluid that makes you congested when you have allergies from anything it shuts that drip off to prevent that. I use flonase for my allergies and it works like a dream. Nasonex I have never used but it works by decreasing inflammation in your nasal passages which would make you feel less congested. For me I choose flonase because i would rather shut off the faucet that is making the fluid rather than widen it so it doesn't seem to be a problem but it is up to you.
