Heartburn is a medical condition that is caused from the valve in your stomach not closing properly. When this happens your stomach is allowing the acids to rise up in your oesophagus and this will give the heartburn sensation. Heartburn has been proven to cause ulcers and now even esophageal cancer. If you are having repeated symptoms it is important to consult your doctor.
