Hi, Is there ANYONE out there who knows if "lamotrigine" is FDA approved in the USA and/or is taking it now?

Question:
I heard Lamotrigine is a generic form of Lamictal. Does anyone know? Thanks!!!

Answers:
Lamictal is the brand name of the drug "Lamotrigine" there is no generic form of this drug. (I have been taking this drug for 5 yrs)
For a while its been used at a "anti-seizure" medication and currently also as a "mood stabilizer" (why I am taking it).

Please check the side effects. To start off taking this you have to start at a very low dose and very slowly otherwise you can develop a serious but rarely fatal rash..

Below is the official site. Yes, its FDA approved and they also have a program for people who cannot afford this drug.

good luck,
