I need an opinion please!?
Question:
OK so today in school I went to the nurse to do a mebulizer treatment and she checked my pulse oxygon level and it was in the 80's low 90's my mom called the doctor and he is supposed to call back what do you think he is going to say? Oh yeah I have asthma! And my heart rate was 140-160 in that range
Answers:
Some nebulizer treatments can elevate ur heart rate. An oxeygen saturation in the low 80's or 90's is pretty low. Did it come up after the treatment? If not, u should probably be in the hospital, but the saturation usually comes up after the breathing treatment. Unless u r having trouble breathing, he will probably just watch u.
doctor will probably want to see you
i have no clue sorry
Your asmas getting worse or acting up.
Yes albuterol may raise your heart rate, but not for an extended period of time. Tachycardia, increased heart rate which indicates your body is compensating for poor oxygenation combined with poor O2 saturation levels is a sign your asthma is flairing up. This is especially typical with this time of year and the change of seasons. You need to use your albuterol MDI. If you continue to have an increase work in breathing you need to see the docs!
