what is herpes out breaks. and where are they located.?

What makes my armpits itch so much?

Answers:
Herpetic lesions can occur anywhere on the body. The main two types of lesions you would be looking for would be the Herpes type I and type II. Type II usually affects the genitals.

It can vary from simple rash on the body in a particular nerve distribution. Sometimes seen on just one side of the body on the chest, abdomen, face or for that matter anywhere on the body.

Once you get a herpetic infection its for life. The attacks depend on your immune system. Whenever the body is under stress from any sort, you can get a herpetic attack due to the immune system's strength decreasing.

There is no way to stop a herpetic attack. If its too serious, then probably seeing a doctor for a prescription of "acyclovir" would be a good idea.

Shingles "chicken pox" on the other hand, if you get it a child, it would be extremely rare to get a second attack. And getting it as an adult, it has more complications.

Hope this helps. Otherwise, you could always ask for more information or check the net on google or yahoo for more information.

Herpes is a virus that lives in nerve roots. There are several types, Herpes Zoster or Shingles, Herpes type I and Herpes Type II. Most often it lives in the body causing no harm. A "break out" occurs when one is stressed, has a cold, or takes a drug that supresses the immune system. Usually Herpes will break on mucous membranes such as the lips and outer vagina and vulva. Although irritating most will go away without any treatment in a week or two.

A herpes outbreak is the eruption of a zoster, a painful blistered open sore. You can have an outbreak anywhere. Women can have internal ones and may not know it. They are also highly contagious.

Lately I have had a strange feeling in the left side of my chest.?

There are two kinds of genital herpes outbreaks. There is the first-time (primary) outbreak and then the recurrent outbreaks.

In the initial outbreak blisters appear around the genitals or anus or in the area where the virus entered the body. The blisters break within a few days and become painful, oozing sores. The sores usually heal within 3 weeks (without treatment) and do not leave scars. Sores that occur in women usually take longer to heal than sores that occur in men.

Sores from recurrent outbreaks usually heal faster and are less painful than those from the primary outbreak. Certain factors such as stress, illness, new sex partners, or menstruation may trigger recurrent outbreaks.
