what is a nursing care plan for patients receiving chemotherapy?
Question:
Answers:
I administer chemotherapy on a daily basis. A lot depends on what type of chemotherapy you are given. Some chemotheraputic agents dramatically suppress your immunity. As you can probably imagine, these pts must be protected from infection and are put in reverse isolation. Some chemotheraputic agents are mild and the side effects are minimal. It just depends on what you are giving. There is so much to be said about it, its too much to put in this small space.
Other Answers:
The patient needs a professional determination based on eating, drugs, pain, mobility and other things. Some chemo patients aren't allowed to drive, walk for long periods, etc. It depends on the individual.
