Hydroquinone?
Question:
I have heard that a product called Hydroquinone can help get rid of them. However I did a little research and his product has been banned in Europe because it may cause cancer! Has anyone heard that? Or has anyone used it with results??
Thanks guys :)
Answers:
Hydroquinone is pretty much the best thing on the market for hyperpigmentation problems. There are different chemicals that can be added to increase the effectiveness like a steroid and/or retinoid. They key to these treatments is to use a sunscreen. If you don't.you will never see results. 30min in the sun without sunscreen can undo about 3months of treatment.
I haven't heard anything about the skin cancer but you certainly want to make sure that the spots you are treating aren't something other than freckles or age spots. I would recommend a dermatologist to first ensure that the spots aren't concerning and don't need removal or biopsy.then they can prescribe the right product for you. Keep in mind insurance companies almost never pay for the script because it's considered cosmetic. Good luck.

i used it and it has worked for me. i used fair and white for three years so far and still am.
Due to your age and have never tanned I would first check with your phyiscian to make sure that they are hyperpigmented spots (age spots, liver spots, etc). You would hate to treat something that is the correct diagnoise. I have heart neg. remarks about Hydroquinone, however I know that my Mother had good luck with . Melederm. Suppose to be the strongest stuff in the Industry. Check out ther website for more information. :) I used this product for about 8 months on my face for hyperpigmentation. I was living in England at the time and was unable to buy it there so purchased it from the US. I didn't realize that it may cause cancer! but it is of no concern anyway. The product did not work and I have a friend who used it also and it did nothing for her either.
