Need good website for Lymphnoma. I am having trouble researching due to different info on different websites.?

Question:
I have always got good advice so I turn to you guys again. I have wrote before about my 7 year old and a lump on his leg. We got the MRI. The lump is actually a lymph node, well 2. One is 2 cm and the other 3. THe nodes are in his leg/groin. I had 2 doctors tell me they think its cancer. They said either cancer or an infection. We ruled out infection thru blood test. The dr sent us to the ER to get and emergency biopsy, but when we got there the peds surgeon said it was sollen because of 5 mosquito bites on his leg. They refused to give him a blood test, because she was trying to say it was infected, once she refused the blood then she said it was just inflammed cause of the bites.
Pretty much the last 2 years he has constant stomach aches, bowel problems, headaches, tremors, his legs are weak and cant walk for a long time. And he is fatiged. Hes 7 and cant play sports cause he cant make it thru the whole game. Any info on this and maybe lymphnoma? Please help.

How frustrated you must be!!! You mentioned the ped surgeon at the ER wouldn't test further. Have you tried going back to your general ped? They can refer you on to an oncologist. Perhaps it is nothing, but perhaps it isn't and you need to get this decided upon immediately!!! As far as a website, I highly recommend the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society website. www.leukemia-lymphoma.org as it is very helpful! (not sure why it isn't showing as a link, sorry) We got the run around for a little while before my son (3 ye with MDS, like leukemia) was diagnosed. When we did and came to St Judes www.stjude.org we were treated SO much better and able to get all of the testing we needed immediately! But you have to come on referral from your physician. Hopefully, it really is a mosquito bite or infection, though that is hard to believe from the location. Best of luck and I hope you get answers soon, with information you are empowered!

look up hodgkins lymphoma or non hodgkins lymphoma on internet and it has a ton of info. plus you should be staged to see how bad it is. good luck.
I STRONGLY recommend getting second, third or even fourth opinions, and to see what other doctors think you should to concerning your son's health.

To look up lymphnoma, you should go to www.webmd.com where they have pages and pages that go through in detail, hundreds of illnesses and conditions.

I wish the best of luck to your family and especially your son.
This is the best web page on lymphoma that is easy to navigate.

I remember your other posting about your son. Your son would not have had lymphoma for two years without having very serious symptoms, plus a simple blood count would immediately tip off a Dr that something or other was seriously wrong with your son. He would be running a high fever, have night sweats, be losing weight and probably be very cranky. I think you need to start looking at other possibilities besides lymphoma such as Lyme disease or a spider bite. good luck

try the teenage cancer trust hun they have links for lymphoma thats the site my daughter used when she was alive she lost her life to hodgkins
I would suggest you take him to a pediatric medical center. Or a teaching university hospital. He can't possible have mostiquito bites for two years in the same place. Sounds very strange that no one wants to find out whats wrong with him.
Sorry i have no idea on Lymphoma's but did notice they had information on it in the web site I use for Leukaemia. I agree with other people that have answered your question, you need to see a different doc. I hope it isnt cancer but its wrong of the doctors to let him go with this pain and weakness. Good luck and I hope the web site helps, it was very good for leukaemia.
