HIV question?

Question:
I know this is stupid but okay, I need serious answers. I have a friend who has HIV, what I'm concerned about though is how easily can you contract HIV from someone if it isn't sexual contact. Meaning like say he has a cut on his hand and I have a cut on my face or even a zit and he touches my face.if they aren't bleeding can HIV be spread that easily, I mean can it be spread that easily through common everyday contact?

Answers:
Hello,

That is great that you are still friends with HIV person most people would just distant themselves from them.

Hiv is bloodborne, which means they has to be ablood to blood contact.

As far as i know like everyday contact it isnt possible to be infected with hiv, remember hiv dosent survive well in the air and it also means that the more it is being exposed in the air, the weaker it gets and also harder for it to infect a non-hiv person.

I also know that it cannot survive in water as well and also when a hiv blood is dried up completely its harmless as far as i know.

This are things taht you cannot catch hiv from,

A mosquito bite
A toilet
Sharing food or utensils
Hugging
Taking care of someone with AIDS
Kissing
A swimming pool
Giving blood
Sneezing or coughing
Spitting
Sharing makeup

Hope this gives you some peace of mind and you do have the right to be paranoid because i have known some people get extremely paranoid and showing some symptoms but because they think alot it is just stress nothing more.

Take care and Thank you

That whole zit thing you just said. it's possible to get it then. Or if you two were to make out because people usually have cuts in your mouth. Still, the chances of that happening is a lot less, about 1/1000 cases. (I read that from somewhere a month ago during my "HIV Paranoia" phase.) And you absolutely cannot get it from everyday contact, sharing toilet seats. none of that. You can't get it from sweat or saliva, even if you were to cry into his eye. Not that you'd do that anyway.

both cuts would have to be bleeding a lot it is my understanding that the aids virus is one of the most fragile germs out there. of corse - by now- we know the dangers and you are smart to check everything out.

if you wre to touch the aids virus with your finger - you would kill it. hep c is the germ in dentistry i fear the most.
