My 11 yr old brother has gastritis is it dangerous?

he had been complaining for a wk so i took him in to a dr.he said it was a stomache virus the pain persisted 2wks later so i took him to another dr. &she said it was a stomache infection,pain was so unberale that i took him to the E.R. then they said it was gastritis!is it dangerous?

yes..can be very dangerous. there are at least 5 types of gasteritis. even peptic ulcer. keep him away from anything that may irritate the lining in his stomach, including asprin.
if it persists, see Dr. again for endoscopy with biopsy.

No gastritis means a like a stomach flu. Not dangerous.
