Other Answers:
I think it takes minimum six months after exposure.
There is a 6 month "window period" for the test results to be 98.9% accurate
There is approximately a three month’s window period and thereafter the antibodies can be detected. At the time of conversion- from being negative to becoming positive, a sero-conversion illness may occur, which may be passed off as a mild flu, or rashes, joint pains, etc. Some of my patients had rash that looked very much like the rash of chickenpox, but it remained for only 5 days. Just because this rash was of mild nature, much cognizance was not being attributed to it, until I had correlated it as a sero-conversion illness.
Charles about the 4th week since you came in contact with the disease you will likely have detectable antibodies? get tested please!!
I get tested every year,i have always been told it will take 6 months to show up in a test.
