I need help here!!?

Question:

They just took down this wooden park that my neighborhood had. They took it down because the stuff they treated the wood with caused cancer. I am 12 and I used to play on this park every single day when i was like 5 years old or something like that. Could I get cancer from that? Or not. Or would i have it already??

The stuff that the wood was treated with was probably creosote. You can do some online research on it. I believe you have to be in constant concact with it for many years for it to possibly cause cancer.

I know cancer is a pretty scary topic at any age, but even if you did find out you have it, medicine has changed so much over the past few years and many cancers are cureable.

So don't worry too much, and enjoy being 12.

Cancer doesn't generally take more than 5yrs to develope as far as I know. If the H&S laws wherever you are are like the ones in the UK, then the chances of you actually developing cancer would be totally remote anyway. people online cannot answer that for you. You should talk to your mom about it if you are afraid you might have cancer.

why don't you go get checked up

you may or may not have it or you may or may not get it,but did you find my crack pipe.cause i think i lost it there. right firstly stop worrying, and take an almond everyday, apparantly new research shows they help to prevent you getting cancer.

Its probably just a health scare warning, as the almond theory will be a cure theory. Its just guess work hon, but try not to worry to much
