Question:

Answers:
It should start clearing up within three days but you have to take an antibiotic for three months if you contacted Lyme's disease. This is nothing to mess around with.I had it for five years and never tested positive for it before they finally found it.Please see the best doctor you can find because the effects can last a lifetime.Good Luck!

2 long months
If you've been given the proper antibiotic for what you've contracted, it should be gone within a week. If not, call your doc, ok? You may either need a stronger dosage or a different antibiotic, altogether!

Have had both lyme disease AND rocky-mountain-spotted fever!
Those ticks! UGH!
Talk to your doc. I have no idea. However, it sounds like you have been exposed to Lyme disease, which is very scarey. If you feel at all "weird," call the doctor right away and ask for a blood test to screen out Lyme.
1 - 2 weeks
Had it 3 years ago. If you have the bulls eye rash, you have Lyme disease. You need to be on as much doxycycline as your body can handle. Most docs will tell you 2 weeks is enough, but people who are suffering from Lyme arthritis or neurologic complications will tell you otherwise. (Like 2 months)

I took about 500 mg for a month, but got a photosensitivity reaction to the drug. I never got any Lyme sequelae, and it's been 3 years, so I think I beat it.

My rash took about 2-3 weeks to go away. It turned a deep purple and looked awful before it went.

Good luck, and STAY ON THE ANITBIOTIC! (And it should be doxycycline or Biaxin)

BTW, the test for Lyme aren't too good. You can have Lyme and still test negative.
oh my god go to the doctor and get tested for lymes diease it almost killed me two summers ago i had to wear a heart moniter and all kinds of bad stuff happened to me and it sounds like you might have that i to got bit from a tick and it looked like that make sure they test you for that k
