I shave my neck (tried every method) and i only break out with bumps on the right side of my neck. What to do?

Question:
I shave my neck (tried every method ~ straight razor (Break out) Electric Shaver (break out) Even Nair and Sally Hansen and i Break out) and i only break out with bumps on the right side of my neck. Does anyone know what may cause this or how to fight against it, I can't NOT shave my neck but these bumps are big and painful sometimes that may not always produce a white head. What can I do?

Answers:
I get it too. Use an aloe based shaving cream. Wet the area with a hot towel or hot water (be careful and don't get burnt). Let it soak. Then apply the cream. wait till it is absorbed and then try shaving with a straight razor. Do not use alcohol based after-shave. It can dry the skin and cause rashes or the bumps you are talking about. Use aloe based cream. Works for me. It may not go away completely but it reduces it a lot.

Other Answers:
u better go see the doctor that can be serious

why shave your neck for well there are shaving gels or shaving cream would probably help oh well tah

Only shave WITH the growth, not against how the hair grows. It's not quite as close as a shave, but it won't give you razor bumps either.

Do not shave up, always shave down.

And always use after shave. This will not get rid of them, but it will ease them a lot.

i would go to the doctor have you tried waxing?

what sounds odd is that it is only on one side of you neck. do you have any particular habits (holding the phone, tilting your head to the right, etc). make sure you moisturize after shaving- leaving the skin dry can make it over produce oils to try and re-moisturize (causing breakouts). something light and unscented like Purpose or any for sensitive skin may do the trick. some skin types are more susceptible to ingrown hairs which may also be the cause. I hope this helps

Stop shaving you neck..

It could be that the chemicals in the shaving creams or foams you are using are causing it. don't put alcohol there when they bleed.
Try finding an orgainc or nature store and see what they suggest.
You could consult with an esthetician - person that can give facials -
Or you may just have to see a doctor or dermatologists.
